Christmas with the folks
January 5, 2013
Hannah Joy’s parents spent the past two weeks with us. We said a sad goodbye today, knowing it will be a very long time until we get to see them again. During their visit, we did our best to introduce them to Munich, Bavaria, and also nearby Austria. We also celebrated Melody’s 2nd birthday and Christmas. Needless to say, these two weeks were very busy for us!
Below are some pictures from Melody’s birthday celebration:
As part of the celebration, we blew up over 300 balloons, which are Melody’s favorite. She spent the next several days playing in them, and then finally we had fun popping them.
Then, we celebrated Christmas with the folks:
And of course, we showed them around Munich:
We then made a day trip to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, which are about a 3 hour train ride away from Munich, but still in Bavaria:
Then, we made another day trip to Salzburg, Austria. There was sooo much to see, including Mozart’s birth place:
We had a great visit and were sad to see them go. Now it is time to get some rest!

Glad y’all had such a good time, celebrated and saw so much! I pray that they made it back safely! I know it must have been a great visit. Thanks for sharing the photos. I know y’all were great hosts. Love you, Dad
Beautiful!
